Too pricey for food that tastes like it came off of GFS's discount rack. I never saw one item actually cooked without a the use of a microwave while waiting for my order. Im giving two stars just because the owner is a very nice person, otherwise no stars at all.

I had the large pizza, with Grant & Josh. Very unusual, deli style, tasty although not very large. The setting is a little better then last time I was here. Cool spot to sit & eat plus free a WiFi!

Observant Jews: This restaurant is NOT kosher. I had hoped for a "real" kosher-style deli, but I am sorry to say this is not it. For the uninitiated, everything might be fine, taste fine, but for those who know real kosher style deli, this will probably disappoint. That having been said, it is so far the best corned beef in town, so if you've been eating Boar's Head corned beef you may like this -- it's quite a bit better than that stuff (which I would hardly call corned beef). The corned beef sandwich ($9) is not "stacked" like the traditional kosher-style sandwich (Shapiro's corned beef at $12.50 certainly meets that expectation). The corned beef itself was dried out at the edges and failed the "lace test". Most of the marbling had been cooked away and the meat was cut too thick. Most other standards of Eastern European Jewish cuisine are missing from the menu. Again, be warned: the restaurant is not kosher, regardless of what the claims are, and I am a little offended at that. There is pork on the menu -- what more do I need to say? Kashrut is not a joke and this claim of being kosher could possibly lead observant Jews into a very uncomfortable situation. For one observant Jew to claim something is kosher and to allow another observant Jew to consume it when it is not -- halachically, this is deemed an averah -- a sin. The website even has a page about what "kosher" is supposed to mean, but it is not very well-researched and is in many ways incomplete. There is a big difference between kosher and kosher-style. The best I could say is that this restaurant is shooting for "kosher-style" but doesn't really live up to that. Even Shapiro's doesn't claim to be kosher, merely "kosher style". The chicken salad was good, the corned beef was good by Irish pub standards -- the folks were nice, but overall I was kind of weirded out by the whole experience.

Great local family-owned deli in Terre Haute. They are a kosher restaurant, so if you want cheese with meat, it will be served on the side. Everything is made fresh and there is always a great selection of fresh baked goods to choose from. The specialty sandwiches are all great, and if you get a full size, it's almost enough for two meals. I love the late hours and grabbing a fresh sandwich from the only local restaurant open this late.

Meats, baked goods, and pasta salad have all been tasty. I am not a huge bread eater, so the bagels seemed heavy for my preferences, but you could probably split one with someone and be fine. The matzoh ball soup... Well, they have matzoh ball soup *Homer Simpson drool* I usually get carry out, so I end up having a nice chat with staff where I laugh, learn something, or both.

I was visiting from Chicago and couldn't find many options for breakfast but then I found this place and was really impressed! The owner was very sweet and accommodating and there is a huge selection of pastries. The prices were good, too. I recommend the Israeli Upside Down Coffee.
